Greater Sacramento’s rich network of educational institutions include a robust K-12 public education system and array of esteemed private schools. Our 700+ public schools serve 400,000 students and feature award-winning programs, including IB and AP programs, and specialized workforce development tracks. Placer County boasts 24 schools with a 10/10 California School Rating score while El Dorado County is pioneering new programming in robotics, information technology, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation and sports medicine thanks to a $4.4 million grant. In 2019, US News ranked West Campus High School in Sacramento the #32 school in the state with a 100 percent graduation rate and 85 percent AP participation rate.
